En fantastisk vintersöndag
Ca 10 minusgrader och efter en morgon med lätta snöbyar sprack det upp och blev klart.
Ser ut som kylan skall hålla i sig den här veckan med ner mot 20 minus i mitten av densamma.

Where no one asks any questions

Vissa skivor återkommer jag alltid till. Det kan gå månader mellan lyssningarna men ... Det finns en trygghet och en tröst i detta, samtidigt som man ofta hittar saker man inte lagt märke till tidigare. "Late for the sky" med Jackson Browne, "Wrecking Ball" med Emmylou, "Comes a time" med Neil Young, "Sounds of silence" med Simon & Garfunkel.

Julen 1978 fick jag "Darkness on the edge of town" med Bruce Springsteen av min storasyster i julklapp. Det tog en stund innan jag fastnade och jag minns att jag, under en kort period, föredrog Southside Johnny före Bruce. Jag hade inte hört varken "Born to run" eller någon av de första skivorna, det kom senare.

Det är snart jul igen. 32 år senare. Lyssnar på "Darkness" från den nyligen utgivna Boxen ... och det är så sjukt bra. Något måste dom ha gjort med soundet, eller är det bara jag som vill ha det så? Tycker bl.a. att sången är mycket klarare. Vill minnas att Bruce i intervjuer sagt att han aldrig var speciellt nöjd. I den dokumentär som finns med i boxen får man också intrycket att man kanske aldrig nådde ända fram. Hur mycket tid dom jobbade med att få trumljudet precis som dom ville, vill vi nog inte veta ... Att låtarna är fantastiska är en annan sak.
